The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 has been indefinitely postponed due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had initially planned to hold the remaining eight matches in Dubai. However, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) denied permission for the event, citing security concerns. As a result, the PCB has no option but to postpone the tournament.

In the wake of the postponement, foreign players participating in the PSL were first directed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from where they took connecting flights to their respective countries. Bangladesh cricketer Rishad Hussein recounted his experience after arriving in Dubai, expressing relief after his chartered flight took off from Pakistan. He revealed that just 20 minutes after takeoff, a missile attack occurred near the airport. Hussein stated that the players were terrified during the incident, with pacer Naheed Rana being particularly scared. Hussein reassured Rana, while other players were visibly shaken.

New Zealand cricketer Daryl Mitchell reportedly told Hussein that he would never return to Pakistan after reaching Dubai. Tom Curran, another player, mentioned that the airport was closed when he was about to depart, causing him to break down in tears. Hussein disclosed that two or three of his teammates had to comfort Curran during the distressing situation.
