Former Minister KTR expressed his anger on the social media platform X, accusing the state government of cruelly demolishing the homes of the poor. He urged the state Chief Secretary to relocate the poor families into the 4,000 double-bedroom houses constructed during the BRS regime.
In Hyderabad, Hydra authorities have been cracking down on illegal constructions, demolishing structures without bias, regardless of political affiliation. However, tensions arose on Sunday when homes belonging to several poor and middle-class families were also demolished. Reacting to this, BRS Working President KTR took to X to express his frustration. He criticized the government, stating that while it claims to be a people’s government, it is tearing down the homes of the poor, leaving them to seek shelter under plastic covers.
KTR highlighted that the BRS government had built 4,000 double-bedroom houses in Hyderabad for the poor, and they are ready to be allocated. He urged the state Chief Secretary to promptly relocate the affected families into these houses. He added that he could no longer bear to witness such distressing scenes.
