Ayodhya: The body of a 22-year-old Dalit woman was discovered on Saturday in a deserted canal near Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s body showed signs of severe torture, with deep wounds and her eyes missing, leading her family to suspect foul play. The body was found bound with ropes, and several knife wounds were visible. Disturbingly, her legs were broken in a cruel manner, suggesting extreme violence.

The discovery of the body was made after the young woman was reported missing on Friday. Upon finding the body, two local women, who witnessed the scene, fainted in shock. Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

In response to the incident, Samajwadi Party MP Avadhesh Prasad demanded justice for the victim, threatening to resign if the case is not handled appropriately. He condemned the brutal act and called for a thorough investigation to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. The people of Ayodhya have expressed support for Avadhesh’s commitment, emphasizing the need for strong leadership in such matters.
