18 Injured After Smoke Fills Ryanair Flight at Palma de Mallorca Airport

Palma de Mallorca (Spain): At least 18 passengers were injured in a fire scare aboard a Ryanair flight at Palma de Mallorca Airport on Monday. The incident occurred shortly after flight RK3445, arriving from Manchester, landed and was preparing for its return journey.

According to reports, smoke suddenly began to fill the aircraft cabin, triggering panic among the passengers. In a bid to escape, several passengers reportedly opened emergency exits, climbed onto the aircraft’s wings, and jumped to the ground. Emergency services, including fire and rescue teams, responded promptly to the scene.

A total of 18 individuals sustained injuries, with six requiring hospitalisation. Authorities deployed four ambulances, two basic life support units, and two advanced support teams to assist the affected passengers. Visuals of passengers fleeing the aircraft have since gone viral on social media, drawing attention to the severity of the incident.

Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the smoke and to assess the airline’s emergency response measures.
