The Central Government has taken a key decision to provide financial support to the states. To ensure development works do not face a shortage of funds, the Centre has released a total of Rs. 1,09,019 crore to all states across the country as their share of tax devolution. Typically, these funds are disbursed by the 10th of each month, but this time the release ahead of schedule is notable. This will ensure that development and welfare schemes in the states proceed without any hindrance.
As part of this, the Union Finance Ministry released Rs. 4,597 crore to Andhra Pradesh and Rs. 2,370 crore to Telangana. The Centre stated that these funds would be highly useful for the smooth implementation of welfare programs and development works. Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan welcomed the early release of funds by the Centre, expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government on X.
Pawan Kalyan noted that such advance disbursement of funds to states would help accelerate infrastructure development and the faster implementation of welfare schemes. He specifically mentioned that the Rs. 4,597 crore received by Andhra Pradesh came at a very opportune time. He opined that these funds are essential for further developing key sectors in the state, including roads, irrigation projects, agriculture, education, and healthcare. Pawan Kalyan also lauded Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in steering the nation on the path of development as commendable.
