Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, under newly appointed Chairman B.R. Naidu, convened its first meeting and announced several pivotal decisions aimed at improving governance, services, and spiritual sanctity at Tirumala.

Streamlining Darshan with AI
The board revealed plans to implement artificial intelligence to enable devotees to complete darshan within three hours, enhancing their spiritual experience.

Policies on Non-Hindu Employees
TTD resolved to address the issue of non-Hindu employees, offering them the option of Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) or transfer to other departments. A formal letter will be sent to the state government to facilitate these measures, ensuring all employees align with TTD’s religious values.

Renaming and Restrictions
The board decided to rename Srinivasa Setu to Garuda Varadhi. Additionally, political speeches and activities in Tirumala have been banned, with violators facing legal action.

Darshan for Local Residents
To prioritize local residents, the board announced monthly darshan privileges for Tirupati locals on the first Tuesday of every month.

Enhancing Trusts and Services
– The Sri Vani Trust will be merged with another trust for better resource management.
– Deposits held in private banks will be shifted to government banks.
– Plans were approved to improve the Nitya Annadanam scheme by introducing a greater variety of food items.

Employee Bonuses
TTD employees will receive Brahmotsavam bonuses:
– Permanent employees: Rs 17,400 each.
– Contractual staff: Rs 7,530 each.

Property and Guesthouse Management
– Land allocated to Sarada Peetham has been reclaimed by TTD.
– Guesthouses in Tirumala will no longer be named after individuals.
– Tourism tickets have been scrapped to prevent irregularities.

Infrastructure Development
A new hotel construction was approved on 20 acres of land under the Devalok Project.

These decisions underscore TTD’s commitment to transparency, improved devotee services, and safeguarding the sanctity of Tirumala.
