The Telangana government has issued transfer orders for 47 deputy collectors and 23 special grade deputy collectors in a significant administrative reshuffle. Additional collectors from 15 districts and DROs from four districts are also included in this restructuring. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari released the transfer orders.

Revenue Department Overhaul
As part of this overhaul, Deputy Collector P. Rambabu has been transferred from Jagitial to Suryapet, while Suryapet’s Additional Collector BS Latha has been reassigned to Jagitial. This large-scale transfer aligns with Minister Ponguleti’s initiative to revitalize the revenue department, addressing recent requests by revenue unions for promotions and transfers.

The reassignments affect a wide range of roles, including RDOs, land acquisition officers, and civil supplies staff. Some officials received placements in their preferred districts, while others were transferred to unexpected locations. Ten RDOs previously on standby also received postings. However, deputy collectors L. Ramesh, N. Anand Kumar, and Hanmanayak have not been assigned new positions and are instructed to report back to the Revenue Department.
