Sandhu Jagadish, the private personal assistant to Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita, has been removed from his position following multiple corruption allegations. Jagadish is accused of extorting money for transfers, postings, and recommendations, as well as engaging in illegal settlement deals.
The TDP party has long criticized Jagadish for his rude and unprofessional conduct. Individuals seeking meetings with Anita for various matters expressed dissatisfaction with his behavior. Jagadish had been working as Anita’s private PA for over a decade, and despite numerous accusations against him, he continued in his role even after Anita became the Home Minister under the coalition government.

Jagadish was known for his domineering behavior, often acting as though he held authority after the minister. Despite several criticisms, Anita refrained from removing him from his position, leading to widespread speculation that Jagadish’s actions were allowed under her protection. Complaints about his misconduct were eventually submitted to the government, prompting Anita to take action and remove him from his role.
The development was publicly revealed by Anita during a recent TDP workers’ meeting in the Payakaravupeta constituency, resulting in celebrations among local TDP members and those affected by Jagadish’s actions. In response to internal discussions within the TDP to report Jagadish’s misconduct, he allegedly threatened one of the leaders with a phone call.
Further allegations have emerged that Jagadish exerted undue pressure on excise officials regarding liquor store licenses, intensifying the corruption charges against him.
