Senior Congress leader and former Member of Parliament Madhu Yaskhi Goud and his family were involved in a road accident in the United States, with his wife Suchi Yaskhi sustaining injuries after the vehicle she was travelling in overturned.
According to reports, the accident occurred while the family was returning from Boston to New York after enrolling their daughter, Gagana, in an MD program at a college in Boston. Heavy rainfall reportedly led to slippery road conditions, causing the vehicle carrying Suchi Yaskhi to skid and overturn multiple times.
Sources said Suchi Yaskhi suffered rib fractures in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at a medical facility in the United States. Doctors are said to be closely monitoring her condition.
Madhu Yaskhi Goud and his wife were travelling in separate vehicles due to excess luggage. While the vehicle carrying Suchi Yaskhi met with the accident, Madhu Yaskhi Goud escaped unharmed.
The family was scheduled to return to India on Thursday. However, the unexpected accident has caused concern among relatives, well-wishers and Congress party leaders. Further details regarding Suchi Yaskhi’s health condition are awaited as she continues to receive medical care in the United States.
