The pre-release event of Devara was canceled due to an overwhelming crowd at the Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad. The venue saw an unexpected influx of fans, far exceeding the allowed capacity, leading to chaos. Some fans reportedly caused damage to hotel property, including breaking windows. In an attempt to control the situation, the police resorted to a lathi charge. Despite their efforts, the authorities, along with the event organizers and Novotel staff, deemed it impossible to manage the situation and decided to cancel the event. This left NTR’s fans disappointed.
Devara, directed by Koratala Siva, stars NTR in the lead role, with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and Saif Ali Khan playing a pivotal character. The film is set to release on the 27th of this month. The pre-release event was planned at Novotel as part of the promotions, but due to the uncontrollable crowd, it was called off.
