Jani Master has encountered another major setback as the Ranga Reddy District POCSO Court dismissed his regular bail petition in a sexual harassment case. The well-known choreographer is currently serving time in Chanchalguda Jail, following accusations of sexual misconduct made by an assistant choreographer. Jani Master had filed a bail plea in the Ranga Reddy District POCSO Court, but the court, after reviewing the ongoing investigation, rejected the petition, stating that bail could not be granted at this stage.
Allegations of Sexual Assault on a Minor
A junior female choreographer had earlier filed a rape case against Jani Master, claiming that he had sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Based on her complaint, a case was registered under the POCSO Act. Jani Master has since been remanded in custody at Chanchalguda Jail.
Amid these legal troubles, Jani Master was recently announced as the winner of the National Award for Best Choreography for the Tamil film Thiruchitrambalam. He had requested bail to attend the award ceremony scheduled for October 18. However, the National Awards Committee has since withheld the award, further adding to his woes.
