The Manchu family has been embroiled in internal disputes for the past few months, with tensions between actors Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj even escalating to legal battles. Amidst these conflicts, a surprising complaint has surfaced in Khammam district against veteran Tollywood actor Mohan Babu, alleging his involvement in the death of actress Soundarya.
According to the complaint filed by a person named Chittimallu with the Khammam District Collector and ACP, Soundarya’s demise in a helicopter crash in 2004 was not an accident but a planned murder. The complainant alleged that Mohan Babu pressured Soundarya and her brother Amarnath to sell a six-acre land parcel in Jalpally near Shamshabad. Upon their refusal, he allegedly harbored resentment and orchestrated the fatal helicopter crash while Soundarya was traveling from Bengaluru for a political campaign in Telangana. The complaint further claims that Mohan Babu illegally occupied the disputed land after her death.
Chittimallu has urged the authorities to reclaim the land and allocate it for the welfare of orphanages, military personnel, police officers, or journalists. He has also demanded a reinvestigation into Soundarya’s death and intervention in the ongoing Manchu family dispute, seeking justice for Manchu Manoj. Additionally, he alleged threats to his life from Mohan Babu’s followers and requested police protection.
The complaint has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion. It remains to be seen how Mohan Babu, the Khammam District Collector, and the ACP will respond to these serious allegations.
