Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu has announced that all nominated posts will be filled by March, with party committees finalized ahead of the Mahanadu event in May. He emphasized that these positions would be allocated to dedicated party workers rather than those seeking appointments through MLAs. Additionally, temple committee chairpersons and AMC committees will be constituted within the same timeframe.

Speaking at a meeting with MLAs, MPs, and MLCs in the Assembly Committee Hall on Friday, Chandrababu highlighted the party’s expansion, noting that membership has surpassed one crore. He directed party leaders to engage with workers at the constituency, mandal, and panchayat levels. “It is our responsibility to protect the party cadre. Those who have placed their trust in us must be given due recognition,” he stated.

The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of the BC community in the party’s growth and announced an additional Rs 50,000 for house construction for BCs, along with STs and SCs. He confirmed that this decision would result in an additional expenditure of Rs 2,000 crore but affirmed the government’s commitment to its implementation.

Chandrababu also outlined budget priorities, stressing the focus on the Super-6 guarantees. He revealed that Rs 33,000 crore is allocated annually for pensions and directed leaders to communicate these initiatives to the public on the first day of every month. He plans to hold direct interactions with MLAs soon and urged them to enhance their reputation to strengthen their electoral prospects. He noted that Union ministers are visiting districts frequently to promote development and welfare programs, urging state leaders to undertake similar efforts.

Key welfare measures include the allocation of funds for Annadata and Talliki Vandanam schemes, set to be implemented in May. The government will provide Rs 20,000 to fishermen during the fishing ban period and finalize procedures for rolling out a free RTC travel scheme for women. Chandrababu reiterated the state’s target to ensure that by 2029, every family has access to housing, drinking water, electricity, the PM Suryaghar scheme, piped gas, toilets, and internet. Infrastructure improvements, including road development, street lighting, and waste management in villages, are also being prioritized.

On law and order, he described the Viveka murder case as an example of political conspiracy and urged party members to remain vigilant against deceptive political tactics.

Chandrababu further pledged that potholes on roads would be eliminated within two months, with 80% of the work already completed. Stressing the importance of governance efficiency, he called for the active use of WhatsApp Governance, noting that 161 government services have already been digitized, with plans to expand them to 500.

Regarding water supply, he stated that while the Centre has allocated Rs 27,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission, an additional Rs 55,000 crore is required to ensure drinking water access for every household in Andhra Pradesh.
