Bus Crash in AP Injures 5 on Kumbh Mela Return

In Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, a private travel bus reportedly lost control near Jonnagiri in Thuggali Mandal, resulting in serious injuries to five passengers. Authorities reported that approximately 45 people were on board at the time of the accident. The incident appears to have occurred while the bus was returning from the Maha Kumbh Mela. Local residents quickly responded by transporting the injured to the Guthi Government Hospital in the Anantapur district. It is also reported that all the passengers were from the Ballari district.

In a separate incident in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, another serious road accident took place. A jeep carrying devotees to the Kumbh Mela collided with a stationary truck on GT Road near Mirzamurad. The collision resulted in six fatalities at the scene and left five others severely injured. According to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mirzamurad Police Station, Ajay Raj Varma, all the deceased were from Karnataka. Local residents assisted in transferring the injured to a nearby hospital, and authorities have registered a case as investigations continue.
