Prayagraj: Nara Lokesh, the Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, along with his wife Brahmani and son Devanish, took part in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The family participated in the traditional holy bath at the Triveni Sangam Shahi Snan Ghat, where they offered prayers to Goddess Ganga and performed the ritual of Arati.
As part of the sacred ceremony, the family also donated clothes to Brahmins while paying respects to their ancestors, praying for their salvation. Engaging in devotional activities, Lokesh and his family joined the spiritual events at the river confluence, experiencing the rich cultural and religious traditions of the Kumbh Mela.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is considered not only a major spiritual event but also a symbol of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. The event, deeply tied to faith, rituals, and spiritual teachings, is believed by millions to offer a path to liberation through purification rituals such as bathing in the sacred rivers.
The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, which is set to conclude on the 26th of this month, has already attracted over 50 crore devotees, both from India and abroad. The Uttar Pradesh government reported that, on Sunday alone, approximately 1.36 crore devotees arrived in Prayagraj to take part in the holy rituals.
