In a disturbing revelation from Andhra Pradesh, teachers at a girls’ school in the Annamayya district have been accused of severe mistreatment of students. The incident, which took place in the Mulakalacheruvu area of Peddathippasamudram Mandal in the Tamballapalle constituency, has sparked outrage.

According to reports, students at the school shared their traumatic experiences with social inspection officers, detailing instances of physical and emotional abuse. The girls reported being forced to engage in inappropriate activities and were allegedly provided with food contaminated with insects. They further stated that during their menstruation, when they asked for sanitary kits, teachers demanded proof by instructing them to undress. This distressing treatment led to several students breaking down in tears.

In addition, they accused the teachers of physical harassment during the night, along with being tasked with washing utensils. One of the most disturbing claims was that the students were locked in a room at night with the lights turned off and no access to food at the designated times. The students also revealed that the teachers were taking food meant for the school to their own homes. They were reportedly warned not to share these details with anyone, as the school management threatened to target them and reduce their exam marks as punishment. The emotional testimony of the students deeply affected the social inspection officers, who expressed shock at the severity of the abuse. They have vowed to escalate the issue to higher authorities and ensure swift action is taken to address the problem and bring those responsible to justice.
