The BJP is reportedly preparing to appoint a new chief for its Andhra Pradesh unit, replacing the current president, Daggubati Purandeswari. Sources suggest that the party has decided to give an opportunity to new leadership in the state.
Purandeswari, who is presently the AP BJP President, successfully contested as an MP from Rajahmundry in the previous parliamentary elections. However, the party appears ready to bring in fresh faces to lead its Andhra Pradesh operations.
