Justice Sujay Paul has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. President Droupadi Murmu issued the notification, officially assigning him the responsibilities of the role. This appointment follows the transfer of the current Chief Justice, Justice Alok Aradhe, to the Bombay High Court.
Justice Paul was born on June 21, 1964. He holds a B.Com, M.A., and L.L.B., and was registered with the Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh in 1990. Throughout his career, he has contributed to various institutions, including banks, the Human Rights Commission, and other boards.

On May 27, 2011, Justice Paul was appointed as an additional judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, and on April 14, 2014, he became a permanent judge. Following a recommendation from the Supreme Court Collegium, he was transferred to the Telangana High Court on March 21, 2024.
Justice Paul’s recent elevation to the position of Chief Justice was confirmed with a formal notification issued by President Murmu on Tuesday.
