Hyderabad: The legal troubles for actor Allu Arjun following the Pushpa 2 premiere stampede at Sandhya Theatre continue to deepen. Having secured bail after a day in judicial custody, reports now suggest that a petition to revoke his bail is likely to be filed in the Telangana High Court. Police investigations have reportedly uncovered new evidence linked to the stampede, raising further complications for the actor.
NHRC Complaint Filed
In a fresh twist, a complaint has been lodged with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) accusing Allu Arjun and the Pushpa 2 team of negligence. The complaint alleges that the actor prioritized promotional activities over public safety, resulting in a stampede that claimed one life. The complainant also criticized the team for ignoring police warnings about crowd control and called for stringent action against those responsible.

Show Cause Notice to Sandhya Theatre
In a parallel development, police issued a show cause notice to Sandhya Theatre regarding its license. The notice demands an explanation as to why the license should not be canceled, citing the stampede and the resulting fatality. The theatre has been given a one-week deadline to respond, with police warning of license revocation in case of non-compliance.
As of now, Sandhya Theatre management has not issued a response. Authorities have reportedly questioned the adequacy of crowd management measures and compliance with the Cinematograph Act in the notice.
