Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is facing a significant political challenge as reports emerge that Jogi Ramesh, a former YSRC minister, is on the verge of joining the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Jogi Ramesh has been seen engaging with TDP leaders, fueling speculation about his potential party switch.
Jogi Ramesh recently took part in the unveiling ceremony of a statue of Goutu Latchanna at the Nuziveedu bus station center. The event was attended by Minister Parthasaradhi and Goutu Sireesh, an MLA from Palasa. During this event, he actively participated in a rally that traversed the entire town, highlighting his growing association with TDP leaders.

Jogi Ramesh, who was once a close confidant of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has become less active in YSRC activities in recent times. His interactions with TDP leaders suggest a possible party change, with reports indicating that he may soon join the TDP.

During his tenure in the YSRC government, Jogi Ramesh served as a Minister. However, he is currently entangled in legal issues. He is facing charges related to an attack on Chandrababu’s residence and has appeared before police investigators for questioning. Additionally, his son is implicated in the AgriGold land case.
Jogi Ramesh is also involved in a case connected to an attack on a TDP office. His unexpected presence at a TDP rally has further intensified speculation about his party switch. Some political observers argue that the Goutu Latchanna statue unveiling is not politically significant.
There have been previous claims about Jogi Ramesh switching parties, but no such move materialized. With his recent interactions with TDP leaders, the possibility of a party change appears increasingly imminent, marking a potential shift in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.
