Theater owners have announced significant ticket price hikes for the much-anticipated release of Pushpa 2, leaving eager fans surprised. The Andhra Pradesh government has approved an increase in ticket prices for the film, with premiere show tickets on December 4 at 9:30 PM set to cost up to Rs 800. Additionally, for the two-week period from December 5 to 17, prices can be increased by a maximum of Rs 200.
According to the revised rates, multiplexes are allowed to raise ticket prices by Rs 200, while single-screen theaters can increase lower-class tickets by Rs 100 and upper-class tickets by Rs 150. This pricing strategy means audiences will have to pay significantly more to watch the movie during its initial run.
Expressing his gratitude for the government’s support, Pushpa 2 lead actor Allu Arjun stated that the move would help the Telugu film industry thrive. In a social media post, he extended his special thanks to Chief Minister Chandrababu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for their efforts in supporting the industry’s growth.
