Girl gang raped, set on fire in Kadapa

A horrifying incident occurred in Gopavaram Mandal of Kadapa district. A young girl was gang-raped near the Century Plywood Company, with five accused committing the assault. Following the rape, the girl was set on fire in a forested area.

Girl in Critical Condition
Locals, hearing the girl’s screams, rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames. She was immediately taken to Badvel Hospital for treatment. The girl’s condition is currently critical. The victim is a first-year intermediate student at Dastagiremma Private College near Badvel. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu Inquires
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken note of the incident and spoke with officials about the Gopavaram case. He inquired about the girl’s health condition at RIMS Hospital and instructed officials to ensure she receives the best medical care. The Chief Minister also directed that special teams be formed to promptly arrest the accused. As a result, the district SP and senior officials have visited the scene for further investigation.
