Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of delaying updates on the Haryana Assembly election results on its official website. He questioned on X whether the BJP is attempting to exert pressure on the machinery by sharing outdated and misleading trends, similar to what happened during the Lok Sabha elections. In response to these allegations, the Election Commission stated that the claims are baseless.

The ECI highlighted that Congress had made similar allegations during the Lok Sabha elections. It clarified that the vote counting process is conducted under the supervision of candidates and officials nominated by the Commission. The Commission assured that updates are provided approximately every five minutes during the counting process, which consists of around 25 rounds in all constituencies. It reiterated that the vote counting is conducted in accordance with regulations and dismissed the accusations of delays in data updates.
