Hyderabad: In Hyderabad, the government has intensified its crackdown on illegal constructions encroaching upon lakes and parks. Authorities have already demolished several such structures, and the operation is ongoing. In this context, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has made significant remarks.
He called upon the public to provide information to the government regarding encroachments on lakes across the state. “To protect nature and the environment, local residents should report any encroachments on lakes in their areas to the government. Voluntary organizations should also step up to help preserve lakes in the state,” said Prabhakar.
He assured that authorities will take action against encroachments, regardless of the stature of those behind them. “This effort, which we undertake as a societal responsibility, is a blessing for future generations. If you find any encroachments in your area, irrespective of who is involved or their party affiliations, report the issue to the government. This is not a battle against individuals or parties but a step towards bringing about change in governance,” the Minister clarified.
