In a distressing incident aboard the Visakhapatnam Express, a young woman was sexually assaulted by an intoxicated man identified as Biswas. The train, en route from Secunderabad to Bhubaneswar, was nearing Miryalaguda station around 7 pm when the incident occurred.

The victim, travelling in coach S-2, was returning to her seat from the restroom when Biswas, positioned near the door, forcibly grabbed her waist. In the struggle, the woman fell from the moving train, and Biswas also fell shortly afterward.

Following the fall, the injured woman managed to gather herself and reported the incident to the nearby people, who promptly alerted railway authorities. Railway Sub-Inspector Pawan Kumar Reddy swiftly responded to the scene with staff and arranged for the woman to be transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance.

Both the victim and Biswas, who sustained injuries from the fall, were admitted to the hospital for medical attention. SI Pawan Kumar Reddy confirmed that a case has been registered against Biswas, and investigations are currently underway.
