Kuppam: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu held his first public meeting in Kuppam since becoming Chief Minister for the fourth time. Addressing constituents, Chandrababu, who has been elected MLA from Kuppam eight times, pledged to lead the region’s development in agriculture and industry. He promised to revoke land titles issued under the previous government and distribute new passbooks, emphasizing his commitment to Kuppam’s progress.
Chandrababu credited the public’s dissatisfaction with the YSRCP for his coalition’s unexpected victory and announced plans for a new pension hike effective July 1, benefiting disabled individuals with pensions ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000. He also mentioned the repeal of the Land Title Act, the reopening of Anna canteens statewide, and initiatives such as establishing cold storage for tomatoes at reduced costs.
Highlighting agricultural plans, Chandrababu proposed forming cooperatives with farmers of various crops and flowers, aiming to facilitate air cargo exports via a Kuppam airport. He outlined intentions to procure 10 lakh liters of milk to boost the dairy industry and envisioned Kuppam as a national model for poverty reduction. Chandrababu also pledged to establish a development authority and expand infrastructure to connect remote villages.
