NEW DELHI/NEW YORK: Fox News has published an investigative report alleging that anti-government protests in France and India are connected through an international network. The report draws links between the unrest in France and the demonstrations in India demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. It claims that 101 organizations across nine countries have come together under a single umbrella to plan and promote the agitations.
“Red-green protest ecosystem”
The report, titled “Global Chaos Inc Grows to 101 Groups,” was prepared by senior editor Asra Nomani. It describes the network as a “red-green protest ecosystem” that includes groups with communist and Islamist ideologies, as well as some labor unions, student organizations and media outlets.
According to the report, the network extends beyond France and India to the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Greece, and seeks to create instability in these societies.
Alleged links and funding
The report states that Paris-based Indian Alliance Paris (IAP) acted as a bridge between the protests in India and the demonstrations in France. It adds that New York-based People’s Forum and Progressive International (PI) have helped carry the campaign to international platforms.
The report further alleges that the network receives backing and funding from Neville Roy Singham, a tech entrepreneur it describes as pro-China, and his wife, Jodie Evans.
India’s crude oil import costs have been declining, even as international crude markets remain volatile. The fall in fuel prices is seen as a positive for the economy, offering stability to domestic consumers and markets.
