Reliance Jio is operating a food delivery app called JioMeals, but it is not available to the general public, according to a report by Telecom Talk. The app is listed on the Google Play Store, though access is restricted to a select group of users.
The report said the app has been built exclusively for employees working at Reliance Corporate Park (RCP). There is no clarity yet on whether it will be made available to ordinary customers in the future.
Unlike many food delivery platforms, where menu prices are often higher than those charged by restaurants, JioMeals offers food at restaurant-set prices with no additional charges for employees. Users can choose dishes, customise their orders and track deliveries in real time. The app also includes an AI assistant called Rio, which offers suggestions and guidance while orders are being placed.
