Former Rajya Sabha MP V. Vijayasai Reddy has released a sensational open letter announcing that he will soon float a new political party. In the letter, he made serious allegations that a small coterie within the YSRCP has been deliberately running a malicious campaign against him on social media, expressing anguish over what he described as an attempt to portray him as a traitor.
He asserted that he had always remained loyal to YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, adding that had betrayal been in his nature, he would have switched parties long ago. He recalled that it was precisely because of his close association with Jagan that several cases, including those by the CBI and ED, were foisted on him, naming him as an accused.
Vijayasai Reddy alleged that since 2020, he had been subjected to systematic conspiracies and humiliation within the party. He said he was removed from the responsibilities assigned to him for Uttarandhra and was also dropped from the party’s key core committee. “I was never part of any coterie. But party cadres should ask themselves who it was that gradually diminished the value of my words and advice in Jagan garu’s eyes since 2020,” he questioned.
He launched a scathing attack on Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, alleging that during the YSRCP government’s tenure, Sajjala functioned as an extra-constitutional authority, going so far as to block even ministers from getting an appointment with Jagan. He alleged that senior leaders and hardworking party workers were reduced to a pitiable state where they had to fall in line with whatever Sajjala dictated, and appealed to YSRCP cadres and Jagan’s supporters to seriously reflect on the situation. Vijayasai Reddy’s open letter has now become a hot topic of discussion in political circles.
