Several IT companies are currently behaving in a cruel manner, terminating employees without giving any prior notice. In a recent incident of this kind in Hyderabad, a techie was removed from her job without any advance information. A young woman named Bhavana was working as a software engineer at the well-known software company Tech Mahindra.

Since her daughter’s health was not well, she took three days of sick leave to look after her. She stated that she had informed the company in advance before taking the leave. However, citing the sick leave as the reason, the company terminated her from her job without giving any prior notice. Having suffered severe mental distress, the victim approached the police seeking justice. Dundigal police, under the jurisdiction of Kuthbullapur, registered a case regarding this incident, and the case has been filed at the station.

Bhavana made sensational allegations about the way the management was treating employees at the company. She stated that they had imposed rules requiring employees to seek permission from senior officials even to go to the washroom, and that they harassed staff over this. She said that even while suffering from illness, without accounting for medical leaves, she was pressured through constant emails insisting that she must compulsorily report for duty.

She broke down in tears while stating that the company forced employees to work by robbing them of mental peace. Following this, the police registered a case and have taken up the investigation.
