BJP In-Charge Nitin Nabin Issues Stern Warning to Telangana Leaders

The BJP national leadership has expressed serious displeasure over the internal affairs of Telangana BJP. Taking note of recent developments, party national leader and state in-charge Nitin Nabin issued a stern warning to key Telangana BJP leaders. He made it unequivocally clear that factionalism and caste-based politics would no longer be tolerated.

Nitin Nabin expressed deep dissatisfaction over certain leaders in the state abandoning public issues in favour of caste politics. He firmly told leaders to immediately drop their obsession with caste, warning that the party cannot move forward if such tendencies continue. He reminded everyone that the party is supreme above any individual, and directed that the principle of “Party First, Leader Next” must be internalised by every single leader.

He observed that given the current political situation in the state, there is tremendous scope for BJP to come to power, but that leadership failures and lack of coordination are causing the party to fall short on its own. He gave leaders a sharp reminder that even sitting in Delhi, he has a complete report on what each person in the state is doing and how they are performing. He told them to remember both his words and today’s date, adding that when the party eventually comes to power, they will certainly look back on this day.

He directed all leaders to stop confining themselves to air-conditioned rooms and instead go to the ground level to fight hard on people’s issues. He called upon them not to wait for someone from above to come and lead, but to build a strong political narrative themselves at the grassroots. To this end, he set a one-month deadline for leaders, tasking them with creating a favourable atmosphere for the party across the state within that period.

He assured leaders that once local leaders put in strong grassroots work, the high command would take care of what strategies to implement and what support to provide thereafter. He made it clear that winning power in Telangana in the upcoming elections is the one and only goal to work towards.

At a time when a political war is already underway in Telangana between the ruling Congress and opposition BRS on various issues, BJP is looking to emerge as the primary alternative. However, internal differences within the party and factional disputes among leaders are leaving the cadre confused and directionless. Against this backdrop, whether Telangana BJP’s key leaders will change course after Nitin Nabin’s sharp warning and one-month deadline, and march united among the people, has now become one of the more intriguing questions in state politics.
