Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has issued a strong directive soon after assuming office, as the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government announced strict guidelines for party cadres to ensure public discipline and avoid inconvenience to citizens. The move is being seen as part of efforts to establish a disciplined political culture in the state.
The party has instructed its members to act responsibly in public spaces and strictly avoid any activities that disturb public order. It warned that any behaviour causing inconvenience to the public would invite stringent disciplinary action from the party leadership.
As part of the guidelines, TVK has prohibited the installation of banners, flexes, and posters in public places and busy streets during any personal or political occasions, including birthdays and family celebrations. The party stated that such displays often obstruct traffic and create difficulties for commuters.
In its official communication, TVK cautioned that violations of these instructions would be dealt with seriously. The party reiterated its commitment to public welfare and appealed to all cadres to maintain discipline and ensure that political activities do not disrupt normal public life.
