Tirupati: Chandragiri police have issued notices to actor Vishnu Manchu in connection with a kidnapping case involving student leaders at Mohan Babu University (MBU) in Tirupati. Vishnu has been directed to appear for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
The case relates to recent protests by student organizations at MBU over alleged fee irregularities, during which the university administration was accused of abducting SFI student leaders. Police have registered FIRs naming university PRO Satish as A1, Vishnu Manchu as A2, and Mohan Babu as A3. Several bouncers and the PRO have already been taken into custody.
Following the FIR, Mohan Babu approached the High Court with a quash petition seeking dismissal of the case. Meanwhile, suspicions persist that the alleged kidnapping may have been facilitated with the support of the university administration.
