Imran Khan has been lodged in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, since 2023 following his conviction in corruption cases. His sisters claim that they have not been permitted to meet him for the past three weeks, despite multiple appeals. Meanwhile, the Pakistan government has reportedly enforced an unofficial ban on public gatherings for the past one month amid the unrest. In a significant development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was also denied permission to meet Imran Khan.
