Former TTD Officer’s Death Linked to Parakamani Theft Case, Says Probe

A significant twist has emerged in the death of former TTD Vigilance Officer Satish Kumar, with preliminary investigations indicating homicide. Satish’s body was found on railway tracks near Tadipatri on Friday, a day after his brother lodged a complaint alleging that rivals in the Parakamani theft case were responsible for his death. The post-mortem report revealed severe head injuries and multiple fractures, raising suspicions that he may have been assaulted inside the train and later pushed out.

Gutti Railway Police have registered a case and initiated a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. Officers are questioning co-passengers from the train Satish Kumar travelled in and are scrutinising the passenger list to trace potential suspects. Satish, a key eyewitness in the Parakamani theft case, was reportedly en route to appear before the CID DG for the second round of questioning when he was discovered dead.

Satish Kumar, currently posted as a CI with Guntakal Railway and formerly an AVSO at TTD, had appeared before the CID earlier this month as part of the ongoing probe into the Parakamani theft. His death is now believed to be closely linked to the 2023 case, which he was the first to detect and report. The incident has raised serious questions about the safety of key witnesses involved in high-profile investigations.
