Election authorities have completed all arrangements for the Jubilee Hills by-election. Polling staff reached their booths equipped with EVMs and VVPAT machines, and a mock poll was conducted at 5:30 AM. Official voting commenced at 7 AM and will continue until 6 PM.
Polling is scheduled at 407 centers across the constituency. All polling materials were distributed from Yousufguda Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy Stadium. Around 5,000 personnel are involved in the election process to ensure smooth conduct.
The Election Commission has taken strict measures to prevent voter fraud and maintain order. Drone surveillance is being used to monitor security, and backup EVMs are on standby in case of any technical issues.
A strong police deployment has been arranged, with 2,000 personnel on duty, increasing to 2,394 including reserves. Authorities have identified 65 sensitive polling stations and have taken steps to neutralize potential troublemakers. Police have warned of strict action against anyone attempting fraudulent voting.
GHMC staff have completed sanitation work at polling stations, ensured all facilities are functional, and installed boundary markings for voter convenience.
