BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan, a star campaigner for the Bihar Assembly elections, has received fresh death threats, prompting heightened security measures. The threats were reportedly directed through his astrologer, Praveen Shastri, and are believed to have originated from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Praveen Shastri, who resides in Gautam Vihar, Vistar Colony, under Ramgarh Thal Police Station, stated that on November 4 he received a call from the number 7904161800. The caller allegedly warned that neither Modi nor Yogi would win and threatened to kill Shastri while also targeting MP Ravi Kishan.
Shastri added that a subsequent WhatsApp message contained photos of Ravi Kishan and BJP MLA Pradeep Shukla marked with a cross. The WhatsApp number reportedly displayed a profile picture of Lawrence Bishnoi. Shastri, who conducts religious rituals at Kishan’s residence, also noted that Ravi Kishan has previously received threats, with the accused being arrested by Gorakhpur police.
Following the latest threats, Shastri lodged a formal complaint at Ramgarh Thal Police Station. He has urged the authorities to enhance security for MP Ravi Kishan, citing the MP’s active public engagements and election campaigning.
