Hyderabad: The Kavitha team has sparked political controversy with strong remarks targeting the BRS party ahead of the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. A tweet from the team suggesting that the BRS “will neither win nor survive” in the upcoming poll has gone viral on social media. The post also cautioned BRS leaders to stop relying on daily updates and take responsibility for their own work. Since her resignation from the BRS, Kavitha and her team have consistently criticized the party, with this being the latest instance.
The Election Commission has announced that polling for the Jubilee Hills by-election will be held on November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14. The official notification will be issued on November 13, the same day nominations open. The last date to file nominations is November 21, with scrutiny set for November 22. The final date for withdrawal of nominations is November 24, which is also when the final list of candidates will be released.
In the previous election, BRS candidate Maganti Gopinath had secured victory in the constituency. However, he passed away on June 8 due to health complications, necessitating the by-election. With the seat now vacant, political parties are intensifying their campaign strategies to secure a win in this key contest.
The BRS has announced Sunitha, the widow of the late Gopinath, as its candidate. Congress has fielded Naveen Yadav, while the BJP is yet to confirm its nominee. Political analysts expect a closely fought battle in Jubilee Hills, with heightened attention from both local voters and state-level party leadership.
