Protests led by Gen Z youth in Nepal have turned violent, affecting several Telugu residents from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In response, both state governments have taken measures to provide immediate assistance to those stranded. The Telangana government has established a help center at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, assigning a three-member team to coordinate relief efforts. The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is also assisting citizens and can be contacted via phone or WhatsApp at +977-9808602881 and +977-9810326134.

Similarly, the Andhra Pradesh government has set up helpline numbers at AP Bhavan in Delhi—+91-9818395787, +91-8500027678—and can be reached via email at [helpline@apnrts.com](mailto:helpline@apnrts.com) or [info@apnrts.com](mailto:info@apnrts.com). Officials are providing guidance and support to Telugu residents in Nepal, ensuring they receive necessary aid and information during the crisis.

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has personally overseen efforts to safely evacuate citizens, conducting a review with officials at the Secretariat’s RTGS office and speaking with several affected individuals via video call. Preliminary reports indicate that around 240 Telugu citizens are stranded. Lokesh has instructed officials to arrange a special flight from Kathmandu to Visakhapatnam, coordinate immediate relief and transport, and provide updates on the situation every two hours.
