Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress has taken a significant step by forming a ministerial committee to seek legal advice on the implementation of Backward Class (BC) reservations. TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud announced the committee, emphasizing its mandate to examine the issue thoroughly.
The panel was constituted after discussions between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Seethakka will serve on the committee.
The ministerial committee will consult leading legal and constitutional experts to assess the framework for BC reservations. The panel is expected to submit its report on the implementation of BC reservations in local bodies by the 26th of this month.
