Kuala Lumpur: A severe road accident in northern Malaysia has claimed the lives of 15 university students and injured several others. The incident occurred when a bus transporting students of Sultan Idris Education University collided with a minivan on a highway.
Thirteen students died at the scene after the bus overturned due to the collision. Thirty injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital, where two more succumbed to their injuries. Currently, seven students remain in critical condition. Authorities confirmed that the deceased were aged between 21 and 23.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed deep condolences over the tragedy and directed the Ministry of Higher Education to provide support and assistance to the affected families. Emergency teams responded promptly to the accident site to aid the victims.
