Washington: The Trump administration has launched a sweeping crackdown on undocumented migrants, resulting in the arrest of over 2,000 individuals in a single day, according to reports from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This marks one of the largest one-day arrest operations in recent history.
The surge follows reported directives from Trump adviser Stephen Miller and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who have instructed ICE to increase enforcement activities. Sources say agents have been told to arrest up to 3,000 migrants daily, targeting those without legal documentation.

Despite the absence of public safety threats in many cases, undocumented migrants are being subjected to strict surveillance measures. The aggressive enforcement strategy has raised concerns among immigrant rights groups, who argue that such broad actions may infringe on civil liberties and worsen the humanitarian situation for migrants.
