Amaravati: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) continues to face turbulence following its electoral defeat in Andhra Pradesh. The latest development centers on the high-profile liquor scam, with former YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy making a sensational statement regarding party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
According to sources, Vijayasai Reddy, during a recent visit to Tirupati, told his close associates that Jagan is likely to be arrested in connection with the liquor scam before June 10. He claimed that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case has already gathered substantial evidence against the former Chief Minister.
The remark has stirred political circles, especially as it comes amidst growing internal strife within the YSRCP. A video released by the party showing Vijayasai Reddy meeting with TDP leaders has further fueled speculation. In response, Reddy reportedly expressed strong displeasure, accusing certain party leaders of deliberately targeting him and orchestrating internal conspiracies.
The arrest prediction has taken on added significance as the liquor scam continues to dominate discourse in Andhra Pradesh, potentially intensifying legal and political challenges for the YSRCP leadership in the coming days.
