Hyderabad: In a move that has generated significant political interest, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday visited the residence of senior party leader Harish Rao, accompanied by his wife. The meeting, which reportedly lasted nearly two hours, has become a point of discussion in Telangana political circles.
According to party sources, the visit was a personal one, aimed at enquiring about the health of Harish Rao’s father, who is currently undergoing treatment at AIG Hospitals. However, given the timing and ongoing political developments, the meeting has raised speculation about possible internal dynamics within the party.
Rumours have been circulating on social media in recent weeks about Harish Rao’s dissatisfaction with the party leadership. Some reports even suggested that he might exit the BRS or launch his own political outfit. These speculations were recently countered by Harish Rao himself, who reiterated that he remains a disciplined member of the party and stated he would welcome KTR’s elevation as party leader.
KTR’s visit comes at a time when the BRS is battling narratives of internal discontent following its electoral setbacks. The interaction between the two key leaders is being viewed as an attempt to reaffirm party unity and counter the narrative of factionalism.
