Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s aircraft faced a drone threat while travelling. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said the incident occurred as the aircraft was departing from Moldova en route to Norway. However, Ukrainian officials have not yet officially confirmed the matter.

Zelensky was travelling to Oslo, Norway, to attend the funeral of King Harald V. As the aircraft was departing from Moldova, a drone threat was detected in the airspace, causing a delay to the flight. Norwegian officials said it was not known exactly how close the drone came to Zelensky’s aircraft.

Zelensky reached Oslo safely, where he met with the Norwegian Prime Minister and the country’s Finance Minister, Jens Stoltenberg. Stoltenberg said Zelensky himself spoke about the issue the aircraft faced, revealing that Zelensky said the flight was delayed and that certain threats had been encountered.

Despite the security threat, Zelensky went on to attend King Harald’s funeral, taking part in the ceremony alongside leaders from other countries. He later paid tribute to King Harald on social media, thanking Norway for the assistance it has extended to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the war between Russia and Ukraine continues. Zelensky said Ukrainian forces had carried out strikes on key locations within Russia, including targets at the Novorossiysk port. At the same time, Russia also carried out drone and missile strikes on several areas within Ukraine. Zelensky said these attacks in the Sumy, Kyiv, and Mykolaiv regions had killed several people and left others injured.
