DMK president and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin made sensational remarks against the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government led by Chief Minister Vijay, claiming that the administration may not survive for more than three additional months.

The comments come amid a significant political shift in Tamil Nadu, where TVK emerged as an alternative force and formed the government, breaking the decades-long dominance of the DMK and AIADMK in the state’s politics.

Stalin Questions Government’s Stability

Speaking at an event where former VCK MLA Panaiyur Babu joined the DMK along with his supporters, Stalin said he had initially decided not to criticize the new government for six months after it assumed office.

“I had stated that I would refrain from criticizing the government for at least six months after it took charge. However, looking at the current situation, I fear I may have to speak out much earlier,” Stalin remarked.

‘Will It Survive Even Three More Months?’

Escalating his criticism, Stalin said public criticism of the government has been growing steadily.

“Many people are already discussing and criticizing this government. The question is no longer whether it will complete six months, five months, or four months in office. The real question is whether this government will survive even three more months,” he said, casting doubts over the administration’s stability.

He added that the recent political developments had encouraged many leaders and workers to join the DMK and urged the new entrants to strengthen the party’s organizational structure.

Advice to New DMK Entrants

Stalin also offered a key piece of advice to those who recently joined the DMK. He urged them not to make unnecessary attacks on the parties they previously belonged to.

Recalling a famous quote by former DMK founder C. N. Annadurai, Stalin said, “Even the jasmine flower in a rival’s garden spreads fragrance.”

He stressed that political opponents should not be underestimated and called for maintaining dignity in political discourse while working toward strengthening the party.
