Pawan Kalyan made strong remarks while responding to criticism comparing his political career with that of Tamil actor-turned-politician Vijay. Addressing Jana Sena Party cadre during a meeting, Pawan Kalyan said some people were questioning why he did not continue independently in politics like Vijay after the latter’s recent political success in Tamil Nadu.
The Jana Sena chief recalled that he had contested independently in the 2019 elections but was defeated in both constituencies. He said several leaders and supporters left the party after those defeats, making the political struggle more difficult. Pawan asserted that political situations in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are completely different and should not be compared blindly.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan strongly criticised the YSR Congress Party over its comments on rising fuel prices amid the ongoing Iran–United States tensions. He questioned whether petrol and cooking gas were being supplied from the homes of YSRCP leaders and accused the opposition of speaking irresponsibly without proper understanding of international developments.
Pawan Kalyan also defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleged that criticising him had become a “fashion” for some political leaders. He said global geopolitical conflicts directly impact fuel prices and economic conditions in India and urged the public not to believe what he described as misleading statements made with “half knowledge.”
Speaking about the future of the Jana Sena Party, Pawan Kalyan said party workers are the true strength of the organisation. He emphasised that Jana Sena should never become a family-run party and stated that organisational building would remain a continuous process aimed at strengthening the party at every level.
