An incident that occurred during the funeral of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has now sparked major discussion worldwide. At this funeral, an unidentified person who arrived wearing a face covering drew everyone’s attention. The person, who wore a baseball cap and a black mask over his face, was also given importance by those present there. Notably, this masked person was even the one who carried the box containing the body of an infant belonging to the Khamenei family. Photos related to this are currently going viral on social media.
This has led to various speculations about who the person behind the mask might be. Some believe he could be Ali Khamenei’s son, the current Supreme Leader, “Mojtaba Khamenei,” with claims circulating that he secretly attended his father’s funeral in this manner. However, others say the masked person is not Mojtaba Khamenei, but rather Ali Khamenei’s eldest grandson, “Mohammad Javed Khamenei.” This Javed is the son of Ali Khamenei’s eldest son, Mustafa.

On February 28 this year, US forces reportedly carried out a massive attack on the Khamenei compound in Iran. The publication in question stated that Javed’s body was severely burned in that attack, which is why he wore a mask over his face when attending the funeral. It is also reported that the current Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was seriously injured in the same US attack. However, neither the Iranian government nor official circles there have provided any clarity about this masked person so far.
Meanwhile, after many days, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has now responded. He vowed to definitely take revenge on those responsible for the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He warned that those responsible for this attack would have to face severe consequences. Mojtaba Khamenei made clear that avenging his father’s death is the demand of all the people of Iran, and that he would certainly fulfill that demand.
