Indian filmmaker Vinod Kapri’s film Pyre has received six nominations at the 24th Imagine India International Film Festival, set to be held in Madrid from September 1 to 16, 2025.
The film has been nominated in key categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Story, Best Music, Best Cinematography, and Best Sound Design. Vinod Kapri, a National Award-winning filmmaker, is in the running for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Story.

Academy Award-winning composer Mychael Danna, known for his work on Life of Pi, has been nominated for Best Music. Manas Bhattacharya has been shortlisted for Best Cinematography, while Soustav Naskar is nominated for Best Sound Design.
The Imagine India International Film Festival is widely recognized for fostering cultural exchange and cinematic collaboration between the Indian subcontinent, Asia, and Europe.The festival primarily highlights Indian cinema while also featuring select works from neighboring Asian countries, aiming to strengthen cross-cultural understanding through film.
