Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu on Friday hailed the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) as the embodiment of Telugu pride and heroism. Speaking at the Vajrotsavam celebrations, Chandrababu praised NTR’s unmatched contributions to cinema and public life.
“NTR acted in over 300 films, bringing life to every character he portrayed. No other actor has played such a diverse range of roles. In him, we see a divine figure,” Chandrababu remarked, honoring his father-in-law and TDP founder.
Commitment to Bharat Ratna for NTR
Reaffirming his dedication to NTR’s legacy, Chandrababu announced plans to campaign for the Bharat Ratna for the legendary actor-politician. “Awarding the Bharat Ratna to NTR is not just a tribute to him but also an honor for the entire Telugu community,” he said.
Chandrababu emphasized that the Telugu Desam Party, founded by NTR, will remain a lasting institution as long as the Telugu people exist. He described NTR as a visionary leader who uniquely combined regional identity with a national perspective.

Vision Swarnandhra-2047 Released
As part of the celebrations, Chandrababu unveiled the “”Swarnandhra-2047 Vision Document”, outlining a roadmap for transforming Andhra Pradesh into a prosperous state by 2047. “A golden Andhra Pradesh was NTR’s dream, and we possess the determination and resources to realize it,” Chandrababu stated.
He also reiterated his commitment to achieving NTR’s vision of a poverty-free society, pledging to work towards socio-economic progress in the state. The event was attended by prominent personalities, including former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, actress Jayaprada, producers Suresh Babu and Adiseshagiri Rao, along with several film and political dignitaries.
